Grampy's Kidney Bean Salad

cans kidney beans,
drained and rinsed
I cup shredded cheddar cheese
2
tablespoons
apple cider vinegar
2
tablespoons
water
¾
cup
Miracle Whip
or mayonnaise
¼
cup
chopped onion
(or 1 tablespoon dried minced onion)
1
tablespoon
dried chives
1
teaspoon
garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
In a medium bowl, gently stir together all ingredients.
Cover the bowl and chill the salad for at least four hours before serving to let the flavors blend. Overnight is best. Stir it a couple of times.
