Easy Homemade Pumpkin Bread

Ingredients

  • cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 can (16 oz.) pumpkin puree
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup chopped nuts, optional

Instructions

  • Grease two 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pans.
  • In a large bowl combine the vegetable oil, eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract. Add pumpkin and mix well.
  • Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and allspice.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the pumpkin mixture alternately with the ½ cup of water. Do not overmix.
  • Pour into prepared loaf pans.
  • Bake at 350℉ for 55-60 minutes or until bread tests done.
  • Cool in pans for 10 minutes. Turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
